Stayers' Watch: Kentucky Cup Turf · 14.09.08
Rumor Has It, the 59-1 longshot of the field, led every step of the way to take the Grade 3 Kentucky Cup Turf at Kentucky Downs on Saturday. The 7-year-old gelding finished 1 1/2 miles in 2:28.27 over firm going. Stream of Gold finished second, and My Happiness third.

Kentucky Downs is a weird interesting course much akin to those of Europe. I have never seen the logic of it other than noting that a few riders know how to run over it. OVERALL, one has to throw away the form there as it is the classical “horses for courses” track.
