Where to begin...? · 3.08.09
It’s been almost three weeks since the last update at Left Coast Racing. This is due not to a lack of activity or stuff to write about, but rather the opposite: tons of activity and stuff to write about. I hardly know where to start.
Things on the back-burner include:
- updates to the Stayers’ Watch and Unofficial Champion Stayer Award;
- observations on what Hastings is doing right — and what they still need to do — to revitalize the sport of racing in Vancouver;
- my report from “where the turf meets the surf”, Del Mar — my family paid our first visit to a “destination” racetrack last month; and
- my report of B.C Cup Day at Hastings (today).
There are also some things going on behind the scenes that I don’t want to mention just yet — but I think they’ll be worth waiting for.
Stay tuned….

I have to ask Wilson if he changed strategies once Mouse was scratched on Monday. Koffe NEVER is that close to the pace. He mentioned in the paper Tuesday that “I wanted to go back to the paddock for instructions” but I’ll wager a good rider like he is took it on himself
