Welcome to Left Coast Racing, a.k.a. leftcoastracing.com. Like the tag-line says, this blog is dedicated to “Thoroughbred racing in Vancouver and around the world”. I’ll be writing about my experiences at my local track, Hastings Park, my opinions of the horses who run there, and my attempts at handicapping. I’ll also be looking at racing around the world: the Triple Crown, the Breeder’s Cup, and others.
I’m also interested in the history of horse racing, so I’ll occasionally take a look back at horses, races, and racing personalities of the past.
Finally, I’ve started building a modest collection of books on horse racing, so I’ll occasionally post book reviews.
I welcome your comments – but keep it civil. I’ll be posting house rules in the near future, but for the time being the one general rule will be “Comments that suck will be deleted – don’t suck” (thanks djblurb).
