"Hastings slots foes fail in court" (Daily Racing Form article).

From the article: “The Hastings Conservancy, a citizens’ group in British Columbia, has lost a court appeal it hoped would force the removal of slot machines at Hastings. The British Columbia Court of Appeal dismissed the group’s appeal of the provincial Supreme Court decision that allowed slots at Hastings”.

The local tabloid has a more detailed story. According to The Province, the Conservancy is supposedly considering an appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Here, you social-conservative zealots, have another wall to beat your heads against.

Again, woo-hoo!
