"… Secretariat still fires the imagination". They remembered the greatest Triple Crown champion of all on Virginia Derby day at Colonial Downs last Saturday. Penny Chenery was there signing autographs and waxing nostalgic about “Big Red” for anyone who asked.
“He’s still the measuring stick”, said Kent Desormeaux, who won two-thirds of the Triple Crown riding Big Brown earlier this year.
