El Sinaloense again · 25.08.08
Two-year-old speedster El Sinaloense opened up another can of whup-ass on his rivals in Hastings’ juvenile division yesterday. The BC-bred chestnut gelding won the New Westminster Stakes (4th race on the card) by 5 1/2 lengths, wiring the field in the slop in 1:17.37 for 6 1/2 furlongs.
El Sinaloense has almost nothing left to prove at this level. I expect that his connections (trainer Juan Olmos and Lara Racing Stables) will either give him a rest and then point him towards the-1 1/16-mile Ascot Graduation Stakes on Oct. 26, or ship him to California to test him against stronger competition.

Fast babies: precocious or something else? hard to tell when they run away and hide. As Woody Stephens used to say: “Let’s see how they run when they get a bunch of dirt kicked n their face.”
